The sun is almost always shining in the South of France. In my gallery I am exhibiting a selection of my oil paintings and watercolors of the town Hyères and its surroundings. Some are painted onsite and others are studio work. The pink and ocher façades, and the blue shutters and doors are the playground for dancing shadows. There are flowers everywhere and the air is perfumed. It’s such a magical place. And it really is still off the beaten track. We don’t have any international franchises other than McDonalds.
I’ve printed up the first series of postcards from my illustrations. I plan to put them up on Etsy in groups. Here is a sneak peek. They cost 3 euro each or 10 euro for 4. Shipping is extra. Some are from my watercolor and pen and ink. Others derive from my oil paintings. My favorite is the three sausages. The name of the brand is Les Trois Porcs. I don’t eat sausage. I did the drawing during an art salon where they sold sausage and champagne. My neighbour sold sausages of all shapes and sizes. I showed the watercolor to him. He looked at me like I was from Mars.

Here is a view of the salt flats from a few days ago. I love this autumn light.
