Last week I went to the island across from Hyères.
Inspired by the light dancing on the sea, I painted this marine of two kids on a zodiac as they returned home. The thickly painted highlights are a mix of pastel pinks, yellows, greens and blues. When oil paint is applied thickly its surface is shiny.
