My paintings are at auction on Catawiki.

Here is the first one that is up for grabs. It’s a great way to get one of my pieces for a steal. The auction ends on Sunday. Big names like Damien Hirst are using Catawiki. They contacted me and I decided to join the crowd and see what comes of it. The year 2025 is all about change. Below is what the Catawiki page looks like. Currently the bid for this 100cm x 100 cm is only 100 euro.

If you follow my instagram feed, you’ll know that in May I came out of hiding with abstract paintings. I was secretly experimenting with it since 2018. What inspires me most is recreating the sensation of cascading bougainvillea flowers with gold leaf. These will be on Catawiki soon

What’s the big news?

I hosted the first ever exhibit of contemporary plein air paintings on the French Riviera in my gallery in Hyères. The amazing Marc Dalessio and Tina Orsolic Dalessio came and created over 30 paintings in 6 days. The show was a huge success. People watched them paint, asked to photograph them, the newspaper wrote a big article about them and the show. It inspired me so much that I am closing the gallery for 3 days a week to go outside by the sea and paint. The need to be outside and paint is non negotiable. I have brought a focus of plein air painting to the French Riviera. You would think that the French knew about plein air painting, the Impressionists were France. But they don’t. During the opening one lady came in to the gallery and said that she didn’t find the paintings interesting. She likes Rothko. I told her that I like Rothko, too. I went to Paris to see the Rothko exhibit, but the couple Marc Dalessio comes from classical painting. It has nothing to do with Rothko.

I am creating an association of plein air painters and hope to bring more, to the region. More on this later.

Here are other places where you can find my paintings.
