When I first moved to Paris after living 21 years in Florence Italy, the chairs outside the Parisian cafes were made of cane. Now they are plastic. Who decided this? 9 out of 10 cafe chairs are plastic.
This postcard has silver leaf on it to put some magic on those table tops. This is next to the TEDDY BEAR BUILDING on Boulevard Saint Marcel.

A buttery croissant from Paris, steaming hot, is like nothing else. Not all Croissants au Beurre are equal. Some of them are fluffy and melt in your mouth. These are from the boulangère on the corner of Rue Mouffetard and Rue d’Arbalète. They are fluffy.

Postcard from Paris –
Rue Mouffetard is the heart of the Latin Quarter. It’s one of those rare pedestrian streets in Paris that during the day are a market, and a party at night. The buildings are pre-Haussmanian. Made with massive wooden beams. The street is cobblestone.
The TEDDY BEAR BUILDING is at the Gobelins Metro stop intersection. There were giant TEDDY BEARS in every window and now all the merchants in the surrounding area display giant TEDDY BEARS in their storefronts.
Postcard from Paris by an artist – THE BUTCHER on rue Mouffetard didn’t know his chickens would be a famous watercolor. When I asked if I could sketch his chickens he told me with a gruff tone, “Si tu ne derange pas mes clients.” And I had to hop out of the way a few times.
