The Tabac is a French institution. And that goofy sign is the copy of a metro ticket. You know song Le Poinçonneur des Lilas by Serge Gainsbourg? He is also a French institution. I love him because he’s was an iconoclast. We need more iconoclasts in this world. What does he have to do with metro tickets? If you go to his gravestone in the Montparnasse cemetery you’ll see its covered with metro tickets because of this song.

This eggshell blue door is on boulevard Perèire in the 17th. Its just oustide the RERC Metro stop. The cat wasn’t there. Not many stray cats in Paris

Rue Geursant has some of the most beautiful buildings in Paris. The stone is dreamy-creamy luxurious. The buildings are relaxed, the windows are spread apart.

My neighbour’s geraniums are incredible. They are 30 years old and bloom all year long. Even in the winter. He rarely covers them when it snows, like it is today, but the balcony above his window sills protects them. On my balcony I grow potatoes and garlic and sweat peas. It’s time to put the garlic in the pots, they need cold to germinate.
