Lemons and Lemon Trees

Last year was a year of chaos. I was wading through too much info and too many activities.

And I was promoting other artists because an art gallery in a medieval French village was gifted to me. It’s the Nouvelle Galerie Massillon in the historic center of Hyères. It’s an artist’s village truly off the beaten track.

For the gallery I opened an Etsy shop, currently hosting my illustrations, paintings, and food icons. The ceramics are coming soon. Lemons and lemon trees are the theme for January. Yellow is the happiest colour on the palette. Read below why I was inspired to paint Lemon trees Here is a discount code for 25% off all artwork from today until January 18th.

Yellow brightens the spirit.

Everyone should have a lemon tree painting on their wall.

Why do I like to paint Lemon Trees

One of the best things about living here is the citrus trees. The lemon trees are loaded with yellow fruits. My mouth waters when I see them. The aroma from the blossoms mixes with the sea breeze. Last year I painted my first lemon tree. This year lemon trees will be a constant on my easel. For years I have painted cityscapes from photographs. My illustrations are the inspiration for my lemon tree paintings. They are lighthearted. They come from my joy of drawing.
