One of the most successful aspects of Brooksby-Arcangioli’s work is her ability to convey visual sensuality through colour itself. The paint, applied either thickly or in translucent layers, invites an almost tactile experience, making the works engaging at different viewing distances. The inclusion of gold and silver leaf not only gives a precious and decorative appearance, but also introduces iridescent light reflections that vary with natural or artificial light, making the experience of the work dynamic and alive. There is also a refined awareness of composition; the distribution of colour masses across the surface reveals an underlying structure that is solid yet never random.”

Abstract Landscapes

In 2018 I began experimenting with abstraction, 7 years later I found my groove. These are mixed media, acrylic with gold leaf, plaster, spray paint. They are high relief.

Art is my vocation Currently I live on the French Riviera painting abstract landscapes with gold leaf. My atelier is in my art gallery — La Nouvelle Galerie Massillon.

Born in New York, degree in figurative sculpture, 21 years painting the Tuscan countryside, 14 years in Paris painting Contemporary Urban. Over 100 exhibitions in art fairs and galleries in Paris, NYC, Amsterdam, Saint Tropez, Cannes, Marseilles, Beruit, Honfleur, Milan, Rome, Florence… and more. I was awarded many prizes, and scholarships for my photography and sculpture. I have the courage to change styles and medium, or countries.
