A cupcake from a French Bakery. Raspberry and Chocolate. Just what I need right now. I could always eat one of these.
It would be lovely with a hot bath in front of a fireplace and a good film on Netflix. Add a window that looks over the seaside and am I dreaming or what?

In Hyères Rue Massillon goes from Place Clemenceau and ends in Place Massillon. The slick stone street is something I’ve never seen in an old village. Usually there are cobble stones.
The street is filled with local shops that sell soap, and olives, and herbes, and of course ice cream shops. There are artists studios. And clothing stores
What is unusual about this town is there are no international franchises on the main Street in the historic center. It’s all local shops. It’s authentic.

This is place Massillon, in Hyères. Hyères is an artist’s village. The whole town is populated by design and art ateliers.
Hyères was where Queen Victoria came. I wonder what she liked to eat. The olives are wonderful. Maybe she bought soap here or salt that was made in the salins des Pesquiers
Place Massillon is filled with restaurants. From the templier tower the view of the rooftops is to die for.
Rue de Temple is one of the main streets where the art ateliers are. Below is a video that will show you the town and give an idea about the artists’ ateliers.

I love this Haussmannian building. It’s on the corner of rue Monge. There is a bakery in it on the street level and it is across from a middle school and the Metro stop Censier Daubenton.
